Puffing Billy's Train of Lights - From the Footplate - 6/7/2024

2024 makes the third year of the Puffing Billy Railway's spectacular 'Train of Lights' event, taking place during the Winter School Holidays for a three-week season, running every night between June 29th and July 21st. The event sold out in less than 3 hours from tickets going public. For PBR enginemen it is regarded to be the mose challenging shift on the roster; light engine from Belgrave to Lakeside, a heavy slog up Fielder Bank to Lakeside and back again, then light engine back to Belgrave.

So for those who missed out, and for those who didn't get a chance to see it in-person, here's a view (or three) that you wouldn't get anywhere else. Initially I had a 4-camera setup, but unfortunately technical difficulties insued and one camera, which faced backwards behindthe driver, did not record properly and the footage was corrupted.

PLEASE NOTE; no hand-held recordings were taken during filming of this presentation as to enable the engine crew to fully focus on their tasks.
