Let's Settle the D&D 5E “Help Action” Debate

The Help action is a rule in 5E D&D from the Player’s Handbook listed in two different places, for two different circumstances. And the conditions the book describes are different for these two situations: one requires your action, and the other requires proficiency… maybe. We’ll get into that debate in a few minutes. In this video I want to dig into the different ways it’s used, and how DMs rule it differently, because I asked for feedback on a social post where I saw a spectrum in how people implement it. And near the end, I’ll talk about how I do it, which is obviously the best way to do it. Just kidding… or am I?
