From building a DIY lithium-ion battery to choosing Betaflight as their go-to software, the team navigated every challenge with excitement and a drive to learn.

Their first successful flight wasn’t in a lab—it happened at 4 in the morning in a common area. The moment the fans spun and the “tu-du ding” startup sound played, it all felt worth it. Of course, there were mishaps too—like getting the drone stuck on a tree or burning an ESC after a hard crash—but these became stories they now laugh about.

What makes this story special is not just the drone, but the mindset. The willingness to figure things out, support each other, and learn from scratch. With the constant backing of NST’s Robotics Club and a college culture that promotes hands-on learning from day one, these students turned an idea into something real—something that flies.
