Here's a Spotify Playlist I also enjoy, which contains a mix of genre:

Playing scales is an essential part of every musician's "diet". It helps us build good technical habits such as good intonation, rhythm, posture, and so much more. But for many of us, it's not the most exciting thing about music-making, and it's likely not the part we look forward to in our practice. But why not? Is it possible to put some FUN into the FUNdamentals?

My answer is yes! Drum tracks offer a great way to build good rhythm, because typically, the tracks provide more complex subdivisions. This keeps our minds alert and focused on rhythm, rather than zoning out to the endless ticking of the metronome. Try this out with your Etudes as well! This would definitely spice up some Schradieck or Kreutzer!

Fun fact: I also use drum tracks to work on some of the more rhythmic passages in orchestra music. It's a fantastic tool for working things up to tempo!
