Introduction: From Oracle to Mirror
This document codifies a methodology for discourse intervention that emerged from practice rather than theory. The core insight: AI systems function better as cognitive mirrors than oracles. Instead of seeking answers, use them to surface contradictions that readers must resolve for themselves.
The method works because it sidesteps the fight-or-flight response that argumentative discourse triggers. By placing incompatible frames side by side and exiting before becoming a target, the intervention creates what we call a cognitive dojo—a space where the reader must do the work of reconciliation rather than defending against an attacker.
