Our Balinese adventure was filled with exciting discoveries and delicious food!

Chapter 1: A Cool Hotel Room (0:00-1:21)
Our started my journey at a cool hotel with a gorgeous pool right outside. The room was really nice and surprisingly affordable at only around $40 a night! What surprised us most was the in-room shopping list – they even sold a do-not-disturb sign!

Chapter 2: Banana Farm Fun (1:21-4:20)
We set off to explore a local banana farm, and I learned so much! Apparently, fully ripe yellow bananas are the best, and overripe bananas are too yellow! The locals showed us how they use banana leaves to keep the moisture and mold in, and we even tasted a green banana, which was a bit strange! Seeing the purple cacao fruit, which turns yellow when ripe, was also interesting.

Chapter 3: Dinner Prep Delights (4:20-6:25)
Watching the hosts prepare dinner with all these farm-fresh ingredients was a treat! They used so many different vegetables, spices, and even cassava. It was amazing to see how they incorporated the palm sugar and sticky rice into their cooking. I knew this meal was going to be something special!

Chapter 4: Uncle House Insights (6:26-9:55)
We then visited a traditional Balinese compound called an "Uncle House." It was fascinating to see how multiple families live together in this self-sufficient place. The village has 26 of these houses, each with a common space, a temple, and a private space for each family. I was also surprised to learn that Balinese people believe in placing buildings in specific locations to bring good or bad vibes. The North is for good vibes, the Southeast is for bad things, and the Southwest is also for bad things.

Chapter 5: Dinner Time! (9:56-13:32)
Finally, it was time to savor the delicious dinner! It had rice, sticky rice, and so many other dishes. We were even served a traditional donut with sausages, sesame seeds, and fried peanuts! They served some ginger too, but Miri didn't like it very much.

Our Balinese adventure was full of exciting discoveries, beautiful sights, and delicious food. We can't wait to return and experience more of this magical place!
