North East Indian Student Killed After Racist Attack | Justice for Anjel Chakma |
This video is a heartfelt and painful reminder of how deep-rooted racism still exists in our society.
Anjel Chakma, a young student from Tripura, came to Dehradun, Uttarakhand, to pursue his MBA and build a better future. One day, while buying vegetables with his brother Michael Chakma, he faced racist slurs and abuse. When he protested against these comments, he was brutally attacked with knives. His brother was also severely beaten.
Anjel fought for his life in the ICU for 17 days. Sadly, he did not survive.
His last words were: “I am also an Indian.”
This is not just one incident — it reflects a serious problem of racism and discrimination faced by people from North East India. Fighting among ourselves over language, region, caste, or religion only weakens our nation.
If we truly want a strong and united India, we must stand together against racism, hate, and violence.
