Shankweiler's Drive-In Theatre, established in 1934, is the oldest operating drive-in theater in the world and the second ever built. For over 90 years, it has delighted audiences with double features on its large outdoor screen. Located in Orefield, Pennsylvania, in the Lehigh Valley.


We (Matt & Lauren) purchased the theater in November 2022. We love to inform new audiences about the drive-in theater experience, give "behind the scenes" peeks at the work that goes into maintaining a drive-in, and answer frequently asked questions about owning and operating a theater.
