Our water project complete at Mother Teresa’s Semera hospital in the Afar region of eastern Ethiopia.  This volcanic area is an extremely dry, drought stricken harsh environment and poses many challenges to find safe drinking water.  We built a self-funded reverse osmosis water plant that will make the hot and salty water drinkable. 

The people there quote scripture and thank God for this project. They cite the power of God while we cite the power of Love. I like to believe that I could take the worst racist pig-headed hater with me to Afar, and once he saw the kids suffering he too would reach into his pockets and give everything and anything he had to help. He’d look at me and cry, and I’d cry too
