TMI Project: Stories for Freedom (2024) | Jaguar Mary X

From an early age, Jaguar Mary (they/them) embarked on a journey of self-discovery and love. Seeking freedom through their body and beyond, Jaguar Mary explores how a waterfall, beauty, family, and the divine are all interconnected when we look in the mirror, trying to find ourselves.

This live performance was a part of TMI Project’s Stories for Freedom, a 10-session TMI Project storytelling workshop that gathered 10 storytellers who have been cultivating practices of liberation within their work and lives to craft their stories of love, resistance, and growth; stories that can be used to further their work and serve as a blueprint for radical generations to come.

It was presented at The Senate Garage in Kingston, NY on June 26th, 2024, with half of the storytellers performing in-person and the other half beamed in digitally, telling their stories remotely from around the world.
