C3 Corvette LS Swap-Part 1: Engine Shakedown

The Super Clean Giveaway is now closed.

In this video, I inspect the LS1 I purchased for my C3 Corvette and fix some of the obvious issues I found with the engine. I replaced the rear main seal and installed the rear cover using my Mr. Gasket installation tool. I also installed the oil pan using a new gasket.
I was able to determine that this was an LS1 out of a 1999 Camaro. I also realized that the LS9 cam installed by the previous owner is not well suited for a naturally aspirated engine. Stay tuned for the cam swap coming in the near future!
So far so good!
