Yacht Management is parallel to the real estate concept of property management; a yacht manager is essentially an on-demand captain who keeps your vessel turn-key and in working order.

Yacht Managers are usually yacht captains that have ditched the crew quarters and thrown down roots on land. Without being at the beck and call of an owner, they will oversee several boats within a marina or geographical area.

It's common for them to clean strainers, clean the vessel, test the systems, schedule yard work, and oversee contracts to perform work onboard, washdowns, waxes, bottom cleaning/paint, etc.

Yacht Management is especially common for yacht owners between 30 - 70' that intend on being the owner/operator of their vessels but don't want to perform the tedious tasks themselves or commit to hiring a full-time captain.

Yacht Management is also especially common for owners of newer vessels, that don't require intensive everyday care yet want to keep their purchase looking and functioning like new.

Yacht Management programs typically vary in cost from $30 - $50 per foot, depending on how rigorous of a maintenance schedule is put into place.

While The Yacht Hunter doesn't perform yacht management, because I believe there are people far better at this job and far more of them, I will be more than happy to make an introduction if you are seeking yacht management services.
