Former US president Donald Trump has slammed Facebook as an “enemy of the people”.

Mr Trump’s comments come as the former president raised concerns about the banning of TikTok, indicating it would only serve to empower Facebook.

Former White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney says Mr Trump “hates Mark Zuckerberg”.

“Donald Trump bases a lot of his decision-making based on personal relationships,” he said.

“He can’t stand Mark Zuckerberg, so a lot of this is personal.”
