It is the home of the New York Stock Exchange, the Statue of Liberty, Wall Street, Federal Hall, and Battery Park; it contains world-famous landmarks such as the Empire State Building, the One World Trade Center, and Ellis Island; it is the location of many museums, including the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Museum of Natural History; and it is home to Broadway theatres such as the Winter Garden, the New Amsterdam Theatre, and the Golden Theatre (as well as the demolished General Motors Theatre)
