Welcome to The RA Yogi YouTube channel 🙏 and today's 15-minute Tense and Release Exercise - 10 Days of Relaxation Training.

Savasana, or proper relaxation, is one of the main principles of yoga. Listen as the calming voice of certified yoga instructor, Julia McNally, guides you through this classical relaxation technique.

Keep in mind that breathing, meditating, being mindful, and using relaxation are all ways to practice yoga in addition to the physical postures.

This 15-minute at home relaxation class is for physical tension, anxiety, and arthritis relief, and preparing the body and mind for final relaxation/ Savasana. This exercise is also practiced in bed to prepare for a better sleep.

👉 For the next 10 days you are invited to practice this video once or twice a day to allow the muscles of the body to relax, calm the mind ... and find stillness, balance, and inner-peace.

During these next 10-days, you will learn how to safely practice tense and release, in a longer version tensing and relaxing - one limb at a time, and a shorter version you can practice 3 times tensing and releasing - your whole body.

After finishing this 10-days of relaxation training, you will have learned and cultivated a powerful relaxation tool that you can come back to for the rest of your life.

✨PRO TIP✨ If you are new to yoga and meditation, this is a great yoga for beginners practice, try to repeat this guided exercise for the next 10 days, 1-2 times a day to get the hang of it. Afterwards, you can try practicing this technique on your own. Practice tensing and releasing the areas you notice tension or stress and don't forget to RELEASE.

Arthritis sufferers might enjoy the use of props that are easy to find around the house, such as, pillows or a folded blanket to place under the head or knees. Covering yourself with a blanket might be another nice option.
