How to Edit B&W Infrared Photos - a 10 Minute Tutorial

Following my publication of a video last summer (IRresistible? Or just plain...No! Could Infrared photography save your summers?) I have been contacted by people asking me to go through my process of editing B&W infrared photography.

Your wish is my command!

I've chosen to show you shots from a versatile location in Dorset and illustrate a raw vs jpeg shot from Yorkshire. All final shots are shared at 10:39.

My edit is punchy but you can dial it up or down according to your own tastes. I use Photoshop CC and Nik Silver Efex Pro but show you how do this without the latter.

My IR camera is a Canon 6d and the conversion was undertaken by Protech Photograpic. People tend to either love IR or hate it; I'd be interested to hear your views.
