6500kv produces more power and is faster overall, for racing applications the higher KV will be the fastest choice, however the extra speed comes at the price of losing torque and low down power, as much as you will notice the extra speed from the higher KV, you will notice the motors feel ‘weaker’ and slower to respond at lower RPM, therefore for freestyle application and ‘juicy’ stop/start type punchy moves, the lower 5000Kv is more responsive and quicker to react.
For racing the higher Kv is the better choice
