Samba means Together with Amba, the Divine Mother. Sada means Eternal. Samba Sadashiva is addressed to Shiva, who is eternally one with the Divine Mother. Shiva is also the destroyer, Hara. The female aspect of Shiva is called Uma. And Uma is Mata, that is, Divine Mother. She is Jagadamba, the mother of the whole universe. She is Parameshwari, supreme mistress of the universe. Translations and Explanations of Sambasadashiva Kirtan
There are different ways to translate Sambasadashiva Kirtan. Basically, the meaning of a kirtan is more than the meaning of the individual words. For a bhakta, a devotee of God, a kirtanist, a kirtan is a praise to God. Often, even in India, singers are not aware of the meaning of the words. They simply feel bhakti, devotion, love, closeness to God.
