Billvan's Crewser | FTL Multiverse

Описание к видео Billvan's Crewser | FTL Multiverse

Nexus Billy's personal cruiser, resembling the traditional Sylvan Cruiser but with its own twists and strengths. If it had not been for the Unlocking Locked Augments addon, I believe this ship normally would come with all three augments slots restricted for the ship's gimmick. Super shield's neat, the Remote Hektar store is whatever, and the Gel is only a hinderance. Billvan himself is a pretty powerful crew though, only slightly weaker than an ordinary Sylvan. And even then honestly I can see an argument for him being more helpful late game (against bosses/enemies that are vulnerable to the fire + lockdown).

I liked Syleah's Crewser a bit more because of the ridiculousness of six beam weapons plus two Sylvans as boarders, but this one wasn't shabby either. I think it would've been more interesting if the super shield could be augmented and outfitted with more modules, but that's just me. Obviously you wouldn't be able to equip all of them because of their stats conflicting with one another, but something like Power/Cooldown & Pierce could be really funny. I found it kind of weird that this very prominently referenced Nexus ship is rather one of the most, uninvolving ones? Like it's got the least amount of nexus-grade equipment/gimmicks, but it's not quite a regular cruiser either. I'm not gonna hate it if it plays awkward though, just wouldn't be fair to being objective with it. It's neat enough.

Bizarre run honestly, maybe because shieldless with no benefits other than Billvan? It didn't feel like I ever really scaled, just got better at killing regular encounters than equipping myself for bosses. This is definitely not a ship that can go True Ending efficiently (without the Tartarus at least), unless you have some kind of absurd drops in the traditional Nexus. This just reminded me of when Pok got slaughtered in a nerf: no longer being able to mimic Pony Jerry. Was it deserved? Yeah of course, but man, there's so little incentive to acquire him anymore unless you strongly crave a Sylvan/Anointed on your boarding team.

I feel like I'm running out of things to do to make Tartarus/Regular runs more interesting; it's either win runs and boss fights in twenty seconds flat with Tartarus gear & scrap potential, or try a bit harder for an equally effortless victory on a regular path. I'm looking forward to being able to play The Renegade Collection ships honestly, not sure how I want to go about it (playing TRC with Forgotten Races content or not). Let me know if you have any ideas, besides just me making more videos.
