This rusty old Japanese nakiri is rescued from the scrap heap for a few cents and is restored to the number 1 razor sharp edge.

For this knife I used 110 grit Shapton, 220 grit Debado, 400 grit Naniwa Pro Stone, 1000 grit Morihei, 3000 grit Naniwa Pro Stone, 6000 grit Morihei.

The timbers in the handle are Australian Gidgee, spotted gum and Pink Blackbutt (top and bottom)
