I hate to break to you, but your chances are really slim. Don't believe the hype. You won't become a web developer in 3 months.

But you can learn a lot, and if you willing to hustle and pursue the self-employed route then your dreams might be closer then you think. More on this later.

Here is the thing. Getting hired via a company is really hard.
You have to understand when you are looking for work, you are not the only one.

If you don't have something that differentiates you from someone else, then you are not looking too good for potential employees.

So the question should be, "What can I learn in the first 3 months to get me started on the right path?"

The answer is... it depends.

In this context, I will only talk about what I feel is the quickest path to landing your first web developer job.

And that is looking to get hired as a front-end javascript developer.

For the next three months. Focus on learning HTML, CSS, Javascript & React.

Month One.
Study HTML and CSS only.
Your goal is to be able to take a design and translate into visual representation using HTML and CSS.

Month Two.
Learn the basics of Javascript language and DOM manipulation.
Your goals.
0. Get comfortable working with Arrays and Objects.
1. Build a mobile nav that shows and hides on button click.
2. Learn how to create a modal window with a popup form.
3. Create an image slider.
4. Learn form validation with Javascript.

Month Three.
Learn the basics of React JS. Goal to recreate the page that you build from the previous month with React JS.

Things to focus on.
1. Understand State.
2. Components.
3. Props.
4. Conditional rendering.
5. React Routers.

This should take you about 3 - 4 months. Don't rush. With this, you should be able to build simple React websites and apps.

There is still a lot to learn. Don't stop. At least, for now, you can start working on building your portfolio.

Bonus.

My other favorite option. Learn how to set up websites with Wordpress then see if you can find your first client.

Don't want to go into details here, but I got my first freelancing job that turned to a part-time remote position by building sites with WordPress.
