A brief history of this bus:
New to London Transport in 1966, withdrawn by Stagecoach London in 2004 and now part of the Stagecoach heritage fleet.

RML2444 was new as a green bus in the country area of London Transport, entering service from Harlow depot in April 1966. It ran for London Country for some years before being repurchased by London Transport, but it was not painted red until 1985, suffering the indignity before that date of carrying an overall advert for Y-fronts! Latterly it ran for Stagecoach in London before mass withdrawal of Routemasters in London in 2004-5.
Strathray ran 26 Routemasters in Dundee and Perth between 1986 and 1993; this bus made a guest appearance on the Tayway between Dundee and Monifieth last Christmas.
