Evan Fournier 26 Points/6 Threes/1 Ejection Full Highlights (12/5/2018)

Evan Fournier got ejected from this game for picking up two separate technical fouls. I showed the second one but it wasn't very exciting. Basically, his defense on Nikola Jokic was too good so they had to call a foul to get him fouled out of the game. Then he talked back to the ref, picked up the technical, and had to leave. He didn't even rip off his jersey even though it looked like he would when he started grabbing it out of frustration. Overall, I give the ejection a 3/10. There wasn't much swearing that I could tell, Fournier didn't point threateningly at anybody, and all he did when he left was slap an exit sign. There also wasn't a lot of time left in the game for Fournier's absence to be felt, since he got ejected halfway through the overtime period.

For reference, a 10/10 ejection would feature a ref getting punched while coaches feebly try to restrain the ejected player.

What was more interesting than the ejections was the fact that all six of Fournier's three-pointers came from the same spot on the court. I guess Fournier knew he was hot from that corner, so he just kept going there to see if he would still be open. If I was coaching the Nuggets and a player hit six threes from the same corner, I would tell them to stop playing defense like that Nuggets coach did in the 80's that one time. If they're not going to step out on the guy who's torching them, you might as well not even pretend to try to stop the other team from scoring.
