'In the first two years of the Obama administration, nearly 800,000 immigrants were deported—far more than during President Trump's first two years.' Former Vice President under Barack Obama Joe Biden was confronted by CNN and his fellow 2020 election Democratic candidates on his immigration record.

Joe Biden during the Democratic debate 2019 faced off with other people in the running for the 2020 election including Bill de Blasio, Cory Booker, and Kamala Harris. CNN called out Joe Biden for his involvement when more deportation and less immigration reform occurred under Barack Obama (and Joe Biden as vice president), and asked Joe Biden if he would follow Barack Obama's old immigration reform plan. The election 2020 candidates also called out that there were more people with deportation under Barack Obama than under Donald Trump in his first two years as president.
