Marie Prestat: Chanson du brin d'herbe op. 4 pour orgue-célesta (1895)

Eines der seltenen Orginalwerke für die orgue-célesta, einem Kombinationsinstrument aus Kunstharmonium und Celesta. Marie Prestat (1862-1933), Schülerin von C. Franck, gewann als erste Frau fünf erste Preise am Pariser Konservatorium. Dieses Stück ist ihrem Schüler und Freund Alphonse Mustel gewidmet, dem Enkel Victor Mustels, welcher sowohl das Kunstharmonium (1853) als auch die Celesta (1886) erfand.

One of the rare original works for the orgue-célesta, a combination instrument made of art- harmonium and celesta. Marie Prestat (1862-1933), a student of C. Franck, was the first woman to win five first prizes at the Paris Conservatory. This piece is dedicated to her student and friend Alphonse Mustel, the grandson of Victor Mustel, who invented both the artificial harmonium (1853) and the celesta (1886).
