Menopause is a condition in which the ovaries of a woman stops producing hormones. It is the time when the menstrual periods stop completely, and a woman can no longer get pregnant. After menopause, the body produces a decreased amount of two hormones, namely estrogen and progesterone. Low levels of these hormones can affect a woman's health and cause problems such as hot flashes. There are measures which women can take to relieve herself from these symptoms.
