SURPRISE! We just awarded the sixth $3,000 '30th Anniversary Surprise Grant' to Family Promise of Montgomery's Director Beth Ann Biggs.
Founded in 2006, Family Promise of Montgomery partners with local churches to share their facilities with homeless families by providing safe shelter, meals and encouragement. The organization keeps families together as they transition from homelessness to stability and independence. Their local interfaith network consists of thirteen host congregations and seven "support" congregations. Family Promise of Montgomery is one of four Family Promise affiliates in Alabama and one of 200 in the United States.
“We applaud the work of Family Promise and the local churches who open their doors to these families. With this grant, the community foundation supports Family Promise’s mission to help homeless families get back on their feet,” said CACF President Burton Ward.
