ROCHDALE TRAMS IN 1905

Описание к видео ROCHDALE TRAMS IN 1905

Edwardian footage filmed in 1905 of trams and people in Rochdale. The film begins with a tram travelling up Blackwater Street (now demolished), turning left onto Cheetham Street and then right onto Spotland Road. The tram continues its journey along the entire length of Spotland Road to Spotland Bridge and beyond.

This rare footage, now speed-corrected, colourised and audio dubbed from original black and white silent film offers a tantalising glimpse of life in Rochdale during the early 1900s, and shows the layout of streets and roads during that era.
