Sometimes while creating one song, a new one pops into your head during the middle of the process. That’s what happened in this case. I was writing a different song about my move to Northern California when I just started strumming on G; that’s how this song was born!

My wife and I were living and running all of our businesses in a 550 sq. ft. apartment in San Clemente, CA. It was small and cozy, but the perks were excellent - we had the beach within walking distance, and it was sunny about 350 days per year.

There were also caveats. We decided that we needed more room for growth.

After searching for many years for a new place to live, we landed on Eureka, the capital city of Humboldt county in Northern California. This quaint city of roughly 30,000 people is situated directly on Humboldt bay, and has all of the amenities anyone could ever ask for without being too crowded. Real estate prices (for now) are relatively cheap, and we found a perfectly unique house with plenty of space and a plush, elegant interior fit for nobility. The stars aligned, and we were able to purchase the house.

Now we have direct, immediate access to the bay, the ocean, the dunes, the mountains, the forests, the rivers and the lakes… In my humble opinion, Northern California is one of the most beautifully diverse places in the world. There are so many things to explore here.
