Unusual Ferris Wheel Set up 🎡 The Double Eagle

Описание к видео Unusual Ferris Wheel Set up 🎡 The Double Eagle

This week, we are visiting the shop of Majestic Midways to document the setup of their newly acquired Eli Bridge Company Double Eagle Ferris Wheel.
🎡Watch them set up a swing carousel next:    • Swing Carousel Carnival Ride Set Up

The Double Eagle has an unconventional design that sets it apart from more traditional Ferris wheels like the Eli Bridge Eagle 16 rim drive model. Unlike those Ferris wheels where all seat tubs face in the same direction, the Double Eagle has pairs of seats facing each other. Additionally, the riders board from the center of the platform rather than the end, which allows two groups of riders to board at once. From an operational perspective, this seems like a popular option. However, despite its advantages, not many Double Eagles were built when compared to the standard Eagle configuration.

This ride spent a few years set up in the Bricktown district of Oklahoma City. Prior to that I don't know its history. If you know where it came from leave a comment down below!

I'm fascinated by the way carnival rides are engineered to fold up and stow away for storage and travel and I seem to learn a new trick with each ride.

I misspoke at the end of this video. I mentioned the wheel being 86 feet tall. Perhaps I have a touch of undiagnosed dyslexia- I should have said 68 feet tall. I also failed to mention that this wheel was built in 1993 so it's 30 years old this year.

Thanks to Jay and the crew from Majestic Midways for giving me the opportunity to document the setup of this carnival ride.
