Digitech GSP1101 vs Peavey 6505

Wanted to do a shootout of the 5150 Model on my Digitech GSP1101 compared to my actual Peavey 6505

I have the GSP1101 hooked up to my 6505 in the 4 cable method so that I can switch between my 6505's preamp and the GSP1101's preamp models just by switching patches.

So the two chains look like this!

GSP's 5150 preamp model - 6505's Poweramp - Mesa 2x12 w/ V30s - SM57
and
6505 - Mesa 2x12 w/ V30s - SM57

As you can hear, they are very similar! The GSP is a little lacking in replicating the high frequencies but other than that It's dead on!

I really love the GSP1101, its one of the best modelers out there for the price.

Also, I must inform: The 5150 Model does not come stock on the unit. You must get the FREE unofficial firmware updates from Mustbebeta.com to get some of these extra models, plus other great stuff like the ability to load custom cab impulses!
