In this video I explain how to add a Gmail account to the Mail app in Windows 11. First I would like to show you that the Mail app is a preinstalled app that comes with Windows 11. It is also set as the default email client when you click on a mailto link or any Request that requires opening an email client.
Many users prefer the mail application, as the mail application is better than opening mail messages via the web through a web browser. The mail application has several features, such as push notifications of new emails on the Windows desktop, a badge, which is a counter for unread emails, and other features.
In the video, I also explain how to set up a Gmail account in the Windows 11 Mail app. These settings apply to any email account from other email providers such as Yahoo or Outlook in the Mail app.
The steps involved in the setup and configuration process are very simple and easy. Follow the steps in the video to be able to add your Gmail account in the mail application and use it easier and faster than browsing your mail through a web browser.
