Passing is really important in Fifa 15 and Fifa 15 Ultimate Team. I have found what in my opinion is the secret to passing in Fifa 15. The secret to passing is that power is more important than direction when playing on assisted passing. If you find yourself in a situation where the pass is going nowhere near where you want it adjust your power. While both power and direction affect a pass power is slightly more important. It is important to not only pass, but to pass effectively.

To pass effectively you must pass with a purpose and in threatening positions. If you just pass the ball with your defenders along the back line it will leave you vulnerable to the counter attack and is not threatening. It is also important to wait for the passing lanes to open up. Protect the ball and then pass the ball when you can.

Keep in mind that different situations call for different passes. The through ball is best when you have a clear passing lane because your player can control it the easiest. The lobbed through ball is best when there is a defender in the passing lane, but the problem is your player would have to bring down the ball and control it. During this time if he does not have a good touch he will lose it.
