Building our seating area and bed - Van Build UK

This week we're building out the most important furniture in our van - a seating area that changes into our bed! It was a bit of a kerfuffle getting the measurements right and as novice DIYers we learnt a thing or two a bit late in the process so had to put our thinking hats on to set things right.

As we both work remotely we opted against a permanent bed fixture to give us a bit more flexibility when working or having guests come a visit. It also meant we could have accessible storage from inside the van, whilst making additional storage options from outside the van, eg. BBQ, golf clubs, camping chairs.
