Are you ready for some baseball?

The 53rd Annual Midwest League All-Star Game took place at the Dow Diamond in Midland.

Festivities kicked off on June 19 at 3 p.m. with a tailgate party held on the front lawn of Dow Diamond. Everyone was invited to take part in promotional games, inflatables for the kids and the beer garden for adults.

The home run derby took place Monday night, but it was delayed by some rain.

Some of the older players said it was all about having a good time.

"Going out there, fly balls hit. Go catch them and just have fun with it," said Noah Schafer, with the Sacred Heart Academy.

On June 20, the Midwest League All-Start Game took place. Gates opened at 4 p.m. with the first pitch thrown at 7:05 p.m.

Hundreds of people went to Dow Diamond on Tuesday to meet some of the players and watch them get ready for the big game.
