Welcome back to instrument of the week! Today we are bringing you some of the most basic clamps in the surgical world. The mosquito is the small, dainty version of the hemostat and kelly clamp. The hemostat is very commonly used, however its length is its limiting factor.

The kelly clamp comes in many different sizes, it is ideal for occluding vessels in deep wounds or cavities, like open belly cases.
