Elfa wardrobe London - Val C1 - We design, supply and install Elfa modular storage.

In this video, I walk through the initial design concepts for two nearly identical wardrobes for Valerie's daughters, demonstrating how Elfa’s flexible system can be tailored to meet various needs. Using SolidWorks, I’ve designed these spaces to maximize storage efficiency while maintaining adaptability as the children grow.

The designs incorporate 45 cm wide baskets, which are a cost-effective solution and provide an excellent balance of shelf and hanging space. I discuss the alternative of 60 cm wide baskets, offering more volume and value for money, while noting how the narrower option aligns better with the client's preferences. The configuration also includes adjustable basket shelves, ideal for organizing smaller items like socks, gloves, and vests—perfect for younger users.

Hanging rails are set at 1.4 m but can be adjusted as needed to suit the girls' reach now and in the future. Additionally, I’ve incorporated flat shelves above shoulder height for easy accessibility and varied the depth of shelves to optimize usability around door frames. These details highlight Elfa’s modularity and the thoughtfulness that goes into my designs.
