The two teams are in some contrasting form as Barbados Royals have suffered defeats in both the games that they have played, while Andre Russell powered the Jamaica Tallawahs to post a mammoth 255/5 in 20 overs against Saint Lucia Kings. Jason Holder’s Royals are in a bit of shambles. They are touted to be the best pace-battery in the competition, however, they are missing on having fine overs from their fourth and fifth bowling options. They have lost both their matches, after the new-ball bowlers made things spicy for them. In the season opener, the Royals reduced the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots to 67-4 before losing the spot. The same occurred against Trinbago Knight Riders who were at 38-4 at one stage. Jamaica Tallawahs, on the other hand, are riding high on confidence as they are coming in this clash on the back of a 120-run victory in the first encounter. Rovman Powell’s men have had the perfect start to the tournament. All the batters; starting from Walton to Kennar Lewis then Haider Ali and Powell were in runs. However, the real show stopper against the Lucia Kings was Dre Russ. The star all-rounder notched the fastest CPL half-century to post the second-highest team total in the highest of the league.
