How to fix car trim or dashboard squeak and rattle noises

If your car trim or dashboard produces noises or rattles or you have squeaking that make you mad, here is how I reduced these to almost nothing.

The car is a 1.6HDi Peugeot Partner (2007; ~102,000 miles; M59; 9HXC engine; 90bhp). The car is the same as a Citroen Berlingo. This should be fairly the same in a lot of other cars, only removing the trim will be different.
