🍲- Abu Hassan in Jaffa

It just wouldn’t be a trip to Tel Aviv without stopping by Abu Hassan for a delicious plate of hummus.

This restaurant is one of Israel’s oldest and most famous restaurants, loved by locals and tourists.

It’s set back in a modest street quite close to Jaffa Port and usually has a huge line spilling out the door: A testament to just how good it is.

The hummus here is made daily and once it’s finished the store will close.

There’s a number of types to try- although Abu Hassan’s real winner would have to be “The Triple”, which is a portion of hummus, fava beans and masabacha, served with house made warm pita breads and fresh onion.

Now while the onion might sound a bit weird- just taste it with the hummus and you’ll totally get it.
