Recycled and home cut boards for painting substrates.

Описание к видео Recycled and home cut boards for painting substrates.

I cut wood panels in round and rectangular shapes for painting panels. This was all wood I had on hand and also some gifted 100 year old barn wood scraps. I used a jigsaw for the circles and a circular saw on the straight line cuts.
Wood was 1/2 inch or 3/4 inches thick, depending on the piece. Some pieces weren’t cut by me but I just had leftover pieces as-is from other projects.
I sanded and applied gesso, drying and sanding lightly again between each gesso layer. The backs were taped off to protect from paint run off before applying gesso layers. Then I did my paintings and let cure at least 4 weeks before applying varnish and hanging hardware.
