Marvel's Shang Chi isn't out yet, so my DIY stunts are all taken from trailers for 2Shang Chi & The Legend Of The Ten Rings."

I don't usually use trailers but seeing as this is Marvel's first pop at a martial arts movie, I had to cover it and couldn't wait for the film.

Inspired by watching some of the stunt reels posted by star of Shang Chi, Simu Liu, I found the bus scene and the scaffolding scene particularly intriguing to recreate, especially with the obstacles available to me at Primal Gym, a ninja warrior facility in Edinburgh.

As always, this comes with the disclaimer; I'm not a martial artist, a gymnast, a free runner, a super soldier or a genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist. I don't have 10 rings that grant me magical powers or the crushing pressure of expectation from an overbearing parent like The Mandarin (Tony Leung).
I'm just a comic book geek, who likes to be creative in the gym and I enjoy putting my spin on the MCU, the Disney Plus shows, as well as DC movies and occasionally video games.

I'm a huge Hong Kong martial arts fan, particularly the work of Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. There's obviously huge cultural significance attached to this film, with it starring a largely Chinese cast and a mainstream studio like Marvel/Disney tackling the martial arts genre is an exciting prospect that I hope is done with care.

Do you think Shang Chi will be a hit? I've never read any of his comics and I wonder if his limited exposure will deter audiences. That being said, it could be a Guardians of the Galaxy situation. What do you think?
