This Piece can be read in two directions: left-to-right/up-to-down and right-to-left/down-to-up, and both normally orienting the Score and rotating it of 180°. Thus four versions of the Piece can be obtained: prime, retrograde, inversion, retrograde of inversion. It's written with one sharp in clef (the F), but it also can be played sharping the F and C, flatting only the B or flatting both the B and the E and always keeping the same written pitches. In fact, the main source of inspiration for this Work had been the famous Latin palyndrome:
