With her roots in Rhea County, TN, Deena made her way to campus in 1988 as a track athlete and scholar. At VU she was a triple jumper and 100-meter hurdler, and varsity cheerleader. Deena was also named to the SEC Academic Honor roll all four years of college. Dill was elected Homecoming Queen her senior year.

After graduation, Deena received a modeling contract in Italy. After Italy, she began acting, appearing in films like Coach Carter, Dirty Grandpa, and many other movies and TV shows like Suburgatory, iCarly, and Boston Legal. She continues to be a multi-award winning television and film producer, writer, and actress. Deena is set to recur on Netflix’s upcoming drama series The Waterfront. This eight-episode series is set to be released in 2025. She is also currently executive producing and in post-production on feature film, Saurus City, an animated family adventure starring Emma Roberts, Julia Ormond, Ron Pearlman, Tim Meadows, and Dennis Quaid.

Deena is also one of the biggest Black and Gold sports fan you will ever meet! She attends games regularly and is a huge supporter of the sports programs. This was such a fun conversation!
