MG's upcoming electric SUV, the S5 EV, has received approval for the Australian market, with up to six variants expected in 2025. Featuring three battery options (49 kWh, 62 kWh, and 64 kWh), a single rear-mounted motor delivering 125 kW, and a 15.6-inch infotainment system, the S5 offers competitive specs for a compact EV. Pricing in Australia is anticipated to start around $40,000. The S5 has already launched in China and is set to join the growing EV market in Australia alongside models like the MG4 and Tesla Model Y.
