First and foremost, I hope everyone here has had a wonderful Labor Day and I hope everyone here was able to relax and/or do something fun today on their day off! To Celebrate, I figured I'd do so by uploading my video of The Edge Observation Deck at 30 Hudson Yards! This is the first of 4 Observation Decks I made it to during my trip to New York City, and out of the ones I made it to, this one was probably my favorite!

30 Hudson Yards is the tallest Skyscraper located at the Hudson Yard's Redevelopment District in Midtown Manhattan and is New York City's 6th tallest building at 103 floors, and the Observation Deck here known as the Edge located on the 100th & 101st floors is the tallest & highest Manmade Outdoor Observation Point in the Western Hemisphere!

Between this place and the other observatories I made it to in NYC this building may be the newest and not quite as iconic as the One World Trade Center or Empire State Building, but it more than makes up for it just for the fact the majority of the Observatory is an overlook sticking off the side of the building and as stated, this is the tallest outdoor Observation Deck in the Western Hemisphere and the totally unobstructed views you get when in the outdoor Observatory are absolutely STUNNING & make the experience of going here well worth it! And thanks to the fact part of the Observatory is an outdoor OVERLOOK, they were able to install a glass floor at the bottom of it, and the views you get of the bustling streets of Manhattan below you are incredibly cool and stunning too! Unfortunately, on the day I came here and took this video, it was quite foggy in New York City so my views weren't the greatest, but on a clear day I can only imagine how breathtaking they are. The glass walls and glass floor in the outdoor Observation Deck allow for a view of the city that is so good and unobstructed in a way the other NYC Observation Decks simply cannot match.

As for the elevators, they are Otis SkyRise Double Deck Elevators with Compass 360 Destination Dispatch that travel at a top speed of 1600 FPM, and just like the One World Observatory, feature cab walls that play a film as you go up and down the building! These elevators don't go quite as fast as the ones at the One World Trade Center, and I do prefer the film that is played on those elevators over the ones on these, but these elevators are still absolutely INCREDIBLE with GORGEOUS Custom Cabs & Fixtures, and while they may not be as fast as the elevators at One World Observatory, you can FEEL the Acceleration & Deceleration on these elevators FAR MORE than you can on those making these elevators a TON of fun to ride and these are EASILY the best quality feeling and funnest new Otis Elevators I've seen installed since the Elevonic 411s from the early 2000s were installed! I seriously haven't seen a post Elevonic era Otis Elevator that accelerated this DRAMATICALLY & was THIS FUN to ride until now! Despite the speed however and intense Acceleration, these elevators do remain very smooth as well, and it's clear that Otis put their all into installing the elevators here. I do apologize for my video footage of these elevators not being the greatest, it was quite busy as you could see and for that reason I didn't want to ask for an elevator to myself, but I do hope you enjoyed my ride nonetheless.

This building is EASILY one of the nicest new buildings I've seen in a LONG time with one of the most incredible Observation Decks I've ever been to and I can't recommend it enough if you're visiting New York! I truly do feel that this one is the best if what you want are unobstructed views and views from a variety of angles, and if you're brave enough, there's even a "Climb" here where you can walk along the Edge of the roof of the building (similar to the Edgewalk at the CN Tower in Toronto)!
I hope you guys enjoy my video of the elevators and Observation Deck here, and stay tuned for my videos of the other NYC Observation Decks I made it to coming soon!
