Georgia Square Mall, Athens, GA | Dead 1980's Mall with redevelopment pending.

This dead mall outside of Atlanta is located in the college town of Athens. Opened in 1981, this CBL & Associates mall was much loved by the community all the way until the late 2000's and early 2010's, when it began to struggle. Losing 3 of its 4 anchors and most of its chain stores, it stands today pending redevelopment, but for now is a beautiful dead mall.
