This Is the Opposite of Love. | THEOLOGY OF THE BODY

The opposite of love is not so much hatred. The opposite of love is using others.
The human person is the kind of being possessing such a dignity that when he is used as a means to an end, the person feels that as a violation of his own dignity. Furthermore, the dignity of the person is such that the only proper response is to love the person for his or her own sake.
