Hello, Audience! Today, we will demonstrate how to design the 'Manual Expansion Valve Assembly' using Siemens NX 2212 Version. This tutorial will guide you through fundamental topics such as 2D sketching, Part/Assembly modelling. The assembly comprises 7 parts including Valve Body, Valve Cover, Valve Seat, Spindle, Wing Nut and more, along with 2 Sub-Assemblies & 1 is the Main Assembly.
Initially, we create the Valve Body part followed by individual creation of each component without interrelation, known as the Bottom-up design approach. Each of the 7 parts is developed separately, and subsequently, all parts and subassemblies are integrated into the main assembly using Assembly Constraints. Any modifications made to the parts will reflect in the assembly as well.
By the end of this video, we will show you how to animate this Assembly within a Simulation Environment in this software.

1. Create 2D sketches of Datum Planes like XY, YZ and XZ with the help of Line, Circle, Polygon, Rectangle, 3 Point Arc tools etc.
2. Using Extrude & Revolve commands.
3. Extrude & Extrude with Subtract Boolean operation.
4. Revolve & Revolve with Subtract Boolean operation.
5. How to cut a sketch profile with the Sweep Along Guide command over the Part.
6. Hole Features command with Simple & Cosmetic Thread option.
7. Using the Thread feature command.
8. Mirror Feature.
9. Chamfer.
We will learn the below Assembly features in Siemens NX 2212.
1. Add Component
2. Assembly Constraints
3. Touch, Align, Concentric & Infer Centre/Axis mates
4. Angle mate.
5. Use Limit Constraint under the Distance Mate.
5. Move Component.
6. How to check the degree of freedom of the part.
We will learn the below Simulation tools in Siemens NX 2212.
1. Use of Cylindrical Joint.
2. Use of Screw Joint.
3. Play the Simulation.
