So here we are in 2023, and there are so many ways to blend Exposures. Remember 2010 when I had a Blog called everydayHDR, and the only way I would blend my exposures was with Photomatix? Where is that now?

Anyway.

In 2023 you can use ACR and Lightroom to make a pretty darn good HDR merge. You can select the sky in RAW and independently edit the foreground and background. Hopping into Photoshop, you can use Apply Image, Luminosity Masks, hand-painted masks, AI selections, and the list goes on and on.

Today, I want to show you my favorite method. Can you guess? Blend If, of course. Maybe that's how I got the nickname "Blend If Blake" thanks, Heike ;)

In this lesson, I will not only show you how to use Blend If to blend exposures, but I'll also tell you why I prefer it over other methods.
